Hosting and server logs
This site is delivered by Vercel Inc., 440 N Barranca Avenue #4133, Covina, CA 91723, USA. The source repository is hosted by GitHub, Inc., 88 Colin P Kelly Jr St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. When you visit the site, the server automatically records technical data your browser sends: IP address, date and time, the page requested, referrer, browser and operating system. This is necessary to deliver the site securely and to detect misuse (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). Logs are deleted after 48 hours.
No cookies, no tracking
This site sets no cookies and uses no analytics, advertising or social media tools. Your browser's session storage remembers for the current visit that you have already seen the intro animation and, if you switch the site to German in the menu, that choice. Both entries contain no personal data and disappear when you close the tab.
Fonts and scripts
All fonts and scripts are served from this site's own server. No requests are made to third parties such as Google Fonts or content delivery networks.
Contact
The contact form does not send data to a server. It opens your own email program with a prepared message. Before that happens, the form checks a hidden field that should stay empty and ignores submissions that arrive unrealistically fast. That is meant to stop simple automated abuse without tracking you. If you write to me by email, I process your details to answer your request and, where applicable, to prepare or carry out a contract (Art. 6 (1) (b) and (f) GDPR). I delete them when they are no longer needed, unless legal retention periods apply.
Automated access
This site is mostly static HTML. There are no accounts, no comment fields, and no server-side contact API. Automated clients may still request pages or try to harvest contact details from public markup. I do not use third-party analytics or advertising pixels. Hosting logs (see above) may be used to investigate abuse. Aggressive scraping or attempts to overload the site are not permitted. The legal notice lists my postal address and email.
Your rights
You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and to object to processing of your personal data. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.
